Daily Prayer of Watching

God, help me to grow in understanding and effectiveness today.

Please show me selfishness, dishonesty, resentment and fear wherever they appear in my life.

When these manifest, grant me the willingness to have them removed and remind me to ask for your grace which removes them.

Please now remove my timidity in sharing these things with others. Work a forgiving and humble spirit in me that I may make amends quickly, bringing only my wrongs.

Continually turn my thoughts to someone I can help.

Let love and tolerance of others be a guiding principle of all my actions.

I ask these things, not only that I may be helped, but that others will be helped by your power working through me.
